At Global Waste Solutions Company, plastic and paper recycling is a critical pillar of our sustainability efforts. These two waste streams make up a significant percentage of Tanzania’s urban solid waste, much of which ends up in landfills, streets, and waterways.
We work with households, schools, and commercial enterprises to collect clean, source-separated plastics and paper products. Our facilities process a variety of materials including PET bottles, HDPE containers, cardboard, office paper, and newspaper, converting them into marketable raw materials.
These recyclables are baled, shredded, and prepared for resale to local manufacturers and packaging companies. This not only supports circular production but reduces reliance on virgin resources and cuts carbon emissions.
In both Dodoma and Dar es Salaam, our initiatives include awareness campaigns, school recycling clubs, and buy-back programs to ensure continuous community engagement and a reliable flow of clean recyclables.
