Global Issue
Over 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced globally in the last 65 years—yet only 9% has been recycled. The majority, nearly 79%, has ended up polluting landfills, rivers, and oceans.
If current trends continue, the World Economic Forum warns that by 2050, our oceans may contain more plastic waste than fish. At Global Waste Solutions, we believe the solution lies in proactive intervention—recycling, recovery, and education to prevent plastic from ever reaching water bodies.
